About Biomedical Engineering at Strathclyde
The Department Biomedical Engineering (BME) is a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment known for its friendly and supportive research and teaching culture. We value research, teaching excellence, the willingness to support other and continued connection with our alumni and friends of BME. Key areas of research excellence are across the broad themes of rehabilitation technologies, cell and tissue engineering and medical devices. BME is one of eight academic departments in the Faculty of Engineering which is one of the largest and most successful engineering faculties in the UK and the recent completion of the £15.5M refurbishment of the Wolfson Centre, home to BME, providing state-of-the-art teaching and research spaces to address key national and global health challenges over the coming decades.
