Unser erster Produktkandidat MesemCart ist ein Zelltherapeutikum auf Basis mesenchymaler Stromazellen (MSCs), das zur Behandlung fokaler Knorpeldefekte im Kniegelenk entwickelt wurde. Die MSCs stammen aus Nabelschnurgewebe gesunder Neugeborener und werden in der Zellkultur expandiert.
Ziel ist es, Knorpeldefekte zu regenerieren – durch Defektabdeckung, mögliche Neubildung hyalinen Knorpels sowie entzündungshemmende und schmerzlindernde Effekte.

Our first product candidate, MesemCart, is a cell therapy based on mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs), developed for the treatment of focal cartilage defects in the knee joint. The MSCs are derived from umbilical cord tissue of healthy newborns and expanded in cell culture.
The goal is to regenerate cartilage defects – by covering the defect, potentially forming new hyaline cartilage, and leveraging anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving effects.
