Bioncise creates and manufactures innovative biopsy instruments with the highest sample to needle ratio (biggest sample for the smallest needle) with applications in interventional radiology, endoscopy, gynecology, oncology, and regenerative medicine.
The Spirotome and Corticore line of products were the first instruments that became commercially available. They harvest tissues, from patients and high risk individuals, with minimal discomfort in delicate organs that never could be reached before or are too dangerous for traditional biopsy instruments. Also the volume of sample increased from below 20 mg for traditional systems to over 300 mg with the Spirotome. Over 90% of the cells are viable and can be used for tissue engineering.
The biopsy samples have the highest quality (volume, freshness and representativity) that is needed for personalized diagnostics to select cancer patients for the most optimal treatment. This selection process already can double survival and should be available right at the start of any first treatment.
Over 70-publications prove that the comfort and safety for the patient is excellent. Patients confirm that the biopsy step causes less discomfort than medical imaging, is fast, and doesn't need hospitalization.
The products are globally available. The local representative contacts can be provided by the headquarters in Belgium. The products need no capital equipment and are ready to use with the content in the package. Some of the products are custom made. Pricing might differ between countries, depending on regulatory fluctuations, but are affordable for every cancer patient.
