BioPanel is een biobased kunststof plaatmateriaal. Het bestaat voor 100% uit hernieuwbare plantaardige grondstoffen. Dit zijn industriële hennep en een thermoplastisch biopolymeer van melkzuur (PLA). De productie van BioPanel heeft tot 99% minder CO2 uitstoot tot zijn gevolg in verhouding tot conventionele materialen.
Het plaatmateriaal is ontwikkeld als duurzaam en milieuvriendelijk alternatief voor aluminium, HPL, Trespa en DiBond plaatmateriaal. BioPanel wordt o.a. gebruikt voor bewegwijzering, routemarkeringen, informatiepanelen. Maar ook in de bouw en in meubilair. Bovendien is het granulaat geschikt om mee te spuitgieten en er zo allerlei vormen mee te creëren.
BioPanel is zowel geschikt voor outdoor als indoor gebruik. De duurzaamheid van BioPanel is minimaal 10 jaar na deze periode ondergaat het een recycling of upcycling waarbij de plaat minimaal kan terugkeren in dezelfde vorm.
Bij het gebruik van BioPanel ontstaat er dus geen afval!
