Bioproforma; bilimsel araştırmalarında ihtiyaç duyduğu malzemeleri satın alabilmek için -yalnızca varlığından haberdar olduğu- firmalarla tek tek iletişime geçmek zorunda olmaktan yorulan bir genetik mühendisi tarafından, kendisinin ve diğer bilim insanlarının fiyat teklifi/proforma fatura alma süreçlerini kolaylaştırmak hedefiyle, 2023 yılında İstanbul'da kuruldu.
