Evaluation of the risk of exposure to bioaerosols with an aerodynamic diameter between 0.3 and 10 micrometer, from the exhalation of patients in hospital environments.
We are carrying out an intensive campaign of experimental tests to determine the risk of exposure to bioareosols of existing ventilation systems (mixing and displacement) as well as novel personalized ventilation systems integrated in hospital beds. Through an experimental methodology, the influence of exposure to bioaerosols will be investigated in relation to the air change rate, the thermal loads of the room and the ventilation system used, the position of the people in relation to the source of bioaerosols and the impulsion and return of local air.
