Biosalt is a company that produces Salt Flower and traditional sea salt of premium quality, based in Portugal, in Algarve. Our production is 100% natural and certified.
We are in the salt production for more than 90 years. Our priorities are excellence, knowledge of a long family tradition and boldness in innovation that come together in the products we deliver, the Traditional Sea Salt and Salt Flower.
Portugal and mainly Algarve, the southernmost region of the country, has a tradition of salt production because of the climate. Near our salinas there are no heavy industries, that contributes in the high quality of the waters, because they are in a vast reserved ecosystem.
At our salines in Ria Formosa, an excellence region of Algarve, we produce our salt, that is collected by artisans, with ancient methods.
Respecting the environment and the product itself is as important as the way it is handled or produced, and so we have chosen to reduce our carbon footprint to the least and avoid all waste. Preserving the environment is one of our main goals.
We want to keep that connection, simple and essential, between the product we collect from nature and the product that arrives at our consumers’ table. We believe in the strength of that connection and the importance of maintaining it, and that’s why it is important to present Sea Salt and Salt Flower in bulk, no packages, no chemistry, from our salines to your table.
