BIOSFERA

One of BIOSFERA's main objectives is to actively contribute to the conservation of terrestrial and marine ecosystems through scientific research for their protection and restoration. This work, which we carry out in collaboration with public institutions and private companies from all over Catalonia and also from other countries in the world, has the primary objective of halting the regression of species, providing innovative tools for the restoration of ecosystems that we disseminate nationally and internationally. Our lines of research for ecosystem management revolve around the regression of natural habitats and the living beings that inhabit them due to human actions, such as climate change and invasive alien species. To date, BIOSFERA has carried out several scientific projects aimed at the recovery of terrestrial and marine ecosystems. In addition, we also carry out scientific-technical reports and environmental consultancy tasks, nationally and internationally. Furthermore, environmental education is the tool that allows us to raise awareness and sensitise people about environmental problems, foster their interest in caring for their environment, expand their ecological knowledge and develop the ability to learn about the natural environment that surrounds us. BIOSFERA offer various educational activities aimed at all school levels, through which students, teachers and environmental educators can work together for a more coherent, respectful and sustainable world.
