BioSupPack project aims to develop innovative bio-based rigid packaging solutions based on PHA by integrating plasma technology along the value chain.
The project embraces the circularity concept by using brewery industry by-products as fermentation feedstock for PHB production. It also addresses new bio-packaging waste by improving related sorting and recycling techniques.
This project has received funding from the Bio Based Industries Joint Undertaking (JU) under grant agreement No 101023685. The JU receives support from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme and the Bio Based Industries Consortium.
