Biota Ltd is a developer of Communitarian Natured-based Solutions (CNbS), including carbon and REDD+ projects. Our mission is the conservation of high priority ecosystems under threat, stimulating the application of socio-environmental impact strategies that guarantee sustainable economic development and the sustainable management of natural resources, with the participation of the entire population and local and regional entities. Since 2006, Cooperativa Biota Ltd. advises presidential agencies, regional governments, indigenous and peasant associations, carbon standards and private companies, in Argentina, Latin America and the USA. Our activities contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the “30×30 Campaign” to protect 30% of the planet by 2030 and the “Race to Zero” promoted by the UN. Our work strengthens resilience and the capacity to adapt to climate change, contributes to stopping the dramatic loss of biodiversity and protecting and effectively managing ecosystems; while promoting and protecting the rights of women and children, indigenous communities and local populations.
