About Biotic Solutions
Biotic Solutions SpA is a biotechnological research and innovation company developing 3B® (Bacterial Based Biosensor), the first bacterial biosensor for the detection and monitoring of dioxins. Dioxins are known more toxic chemicals by humans and are produced by combustion in industrial and natural processes. These persistent organic pollutants accumulate in animal products like meat, fish, eggs and milk, among others, causing serious damage in humans such as hormone problems, certain types of cancer and malformations in children. Our product, 3B®, is a portable monitoring technology capable of providing a rapid, specific and easy to use method to detect this harmful compound through a biosensor. Currently, we have a working prototype that is being tested along with major companies from the national industry. With 3B®, our goal is to establish the first steps in developing an online monitoring system for the detection of dioxins, where industry and government institutions can access real-time data regarding these environmental pollutants. Today, there is no technology that allows monitoring of dioxins or environmental pollutants in real time, being vital for decision making in companies and government institutions.
