Biotik / Greenroofs & greenwalls

Biotik is a young company specialized in the design, installation and maintenance of roofs and green walls. Our idea developed from a simple observation. As a native of Brussels and a lifelong resident of this city, I have always noticed that the lack of vegetation is glaring. We feel it every year more and more, the heat waves that suffocate us, the climate is changing, the whole of Belgium is enclosing its soil by building. All these constructions have direct impacts on several things: the retreat of natural spaces and the biodiversity which is linked to it, the quality of the air which deteriorates, the heat island effect which makes the cities suffocating in summer (day and night), the floods at the time of strong rains, and so many others.
