Biovault Technical is the largest private stem cell and tissue bank in the UK and the only one to work with the NHS in providing human tissue and cells for transplantation. Biovault has since it started operating in 2003 processed and stored cord blood but has been a service provider to cord blood companies both in the UK and around the world.
Biovault Technical has a decade of experience as a clinical tissue bank, processing and storing both human tissue and cells for use in a wide range of clinical applications. We are the tissue bank for the NHS South-West Peninsula Transplantation Service and we have unrivalled facilities which are also used for the processing and storage of umbilical cord blood. In addition to our expertise in the field of stem cell recovery and storage we also work closely with public and private clinics and hospitals to store and supply a wide range of human tissues for clinical applications.
We have successfully released cord blood stem cell samples for transplant on behalf of private clients, and over 4,000 peripheral blood and bone marrow stem cell samples for transplants in both private clinics and on behalf of an NHS cancer treatment programme. We also routinely release other tissue that we store for use in the NHS. We are experienced in processing and storing human tissue and cells for use in clinical transplantation. No other cord blood bank has released as many samples for transplantation as we have.
