Birjand University of Mines and Industries was established in 1996 under the supervision of Iran University of Mines and Industries. And engineering and manufacturing technology (machine tools).Birjand University of Technology with the Assistant of Minister of Science, Research and technology Mr. Zahedi, Minister of the Ministry of Industries and Mines Mr. Mahrbayan and the Honorable Governor of southern Khorasan Province Mr. Seyed Solat Mortazavi and according to the first provincial Board of the ninth administration to the Khorasan Province Nuand with direct orders by the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mr. Ahmadinejad, with the transfer of all buildings and facilities from Iran University of Industries and Mines of Birjand to Birjand University of Technology, was established on September 22, 2007.
