Exitology® is a highly structured 5-step value and growth enhancement process that progresses business owners towards Bisnis Hapeenuhs™. The 5 steps are - 1. Analyse - This is the first step and should never be bypassed! It is the bedrock on which everything else is based. 2. De-risk - This is where Exitology® applies risk strategies to protect the business’ baseline value. 3. Enhance - This is the step where the business is fully automated and systemised. 4. Execute Monitor & Measure - You can't measure what you don't monitor. 5. Exit or Growth - This step continually answers the question of whether to start a controlled exit or continue to keep controlling and enhancing growth. That might seem a strange name for a process that addresses both growth and exit. It has symbolism. The X in Exitology® is a connection, an intersection. It is the intersection between growth and exit. It is the intersection between profit and value. The Growth focus is on efficiency, effectiveness, and Profit. The Exit focus is on Value. Exitology® uses the symbolism of X marking the spot in treasure maps. X was where the treasure lay. But X didn't mark the spot for most of the adventurers looking for that treasure and that means undiscovered treasures still lie ready to be discovered. Exitology® helps to find that undiscovered treasure. The letter "x" is often used in algebra to mean a value that is not yet known. Exitology® will help to find that value. Instead of a treasure map, Exitology® uses a Business Road Map. It is also a concerted effort to concentrate business owners’ minds on always being prepared for an exit. To remind business owners about - beginning and growing with a clear vision of the end in mind. Remember, business owners, are human and will exit their businesses. That could be due to natural causes, their intentions, or one of the five D’s (death, disability, divorce, distress, and disagreement).
