Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation (BJMC) was established under Article 10 of Bangladesh Industrial Enterprises (Nationalization) Order 1972 (PO 27 of 1972) .
The BJMC is managed by a Board of Directors headed by the Chairman. Now the organisation is operating 26 mills (including 3 non jute industries).
The performance of every enterprise is supervised and controlled at the plant level by the concerned Enterprise Board headed by the Chairman or any Director of the Corporation and other members are nominated from the Textile & Jute Ministry, Ministry of Finance, BJMC and Banks.
