Blackacre Conservancy manages the 270 acre Blackacre State Nature Preserve and Historic Settlement in Louisville KY. Six trails meander through fields and woodlands and provide an opportunity for the peaceful observation of one of the most species diverse habitats in Kentucky. The settlement includes a 1795 double crib Appalachian Barn, Spring House and Stone House, and the 1844 Presley Tyler House. Over 10,000 students study outdoor environmental education here each year. The Blackacre Conservancy offers many programs and events connected to environmental issues and KY history throughout the year.
