Blackdown offers ecological consultancy and environmental contracting to clients including major construction firms and civil engineering contractors, local authorities, planners and housing associations, water companies and other utility firms. In 2017, NBC Environment completed a strategic merger with Blackdown Environmental to extend its portfolio of ecology services in the UK. As such Blackdown environmental is now an NBC wholly owned company. In combining the strengths of each company, NBC Environment and Blackdown Environmental now offer a full-service approach to meet the wildlife management needs of clients. Blackdown Environmental offer a wide range of services, from tree and vegetation clearance, through to reptile and specialist wildlife fencing. Blackdown Environmental's offices are based in Dunkeswell, Devon and we operate across the UK. We are fortunate to work with a great variety of clients across many sectors including charitable trusts, local authorities, private landowners and agricultural establishments. We offer our clients value for money and the ability to bring projects in on time and budget. Having our own multi skilled workforce and a range of specialist machinery allows us to provide advice and solutions to even the most complex problems. We acknowledge the importance of working closely with our countryside and we are always working hard to encompass wildlife and conservation in our day to day running. We also understand the importance on project timescales and costs; these can often be affected when making provision for ecological mitigation. In order to show our commitment we have personnel undergoing ecological training which combined with our current services means that Blackdown Environmental can offer clients a choice and range of complimentary ecological solutions
