Black Girls Shred

A social equity centered organization with a mission of increasing the participation of black women athletes in action sport competitions and careers We believe that through access, information and opportunity the world of action sports can grow to become more inclusive and intentional spaces for Black athletes. We believe that all people of color have a right to quality of life spaces and if given the right development and support they will become viable competitors, artists and engineers within the action sports industry. With our work we are increasing safety practices, informing health, rallying resources, encouraging equity and developing skate spaces for shredders of all style and skill level, this includes skateboarding, roller skating, biking, surfing, figure skating, snowboarding and more… We are specifically focused on the Black community and their IPOC peers. Everything we do is in collaboration with community, intentionally centering those who identify as WOMEN, LGBTQIA and GNC.
