Black Podcasting Awards

Black Podcasting Awards (BPAwards) celebrates, spotlights, and bolsters Black podcasts for more wins and successes. It achieves this primarily by producing an annual awards program and ceremony. It also produces three newsletters: BPAwards Opportunities, BPAwards Observer, and New Podcast Releases (distributed by BlkPodNews™). BPAwards Opportunities shares podcast(-friendly) award program, grant, and speaking gig applications. BPAwards Observer tracks all Black podcast/er wins and majority Black hosted podcast headlines. New Podcast Releases (distributed by BlkPodNews™) spotlights seven new podcasts each Wednesday in collaboration with BlkPodNews™ So far, BPAwards has given out 126 award wins, and 350 award nominations. It emerged from a February 2020 Twitterstorm eager to see #podcasting steer clear of its version of #OscarsSoWhite It is a community-founded, volunteer-fueled annual awards program & ceremony. It is 501c3 incorporated. BPAwards appreciate referrals of applicants, volunteer judges, gifts, sponsors, and support otherwise.
