Black Screen Records is a record label, distributor and vinyl producer for video game / anime soundtracks and Japanese music based in Cologne, Germany. The label was founded in 2015 by Kevin Schulz. Since then, our team has released almost 100 video game soundtracks in digital and physical form. We offer full vinyl and CD manufacturing services and accompany our partners on every step of the process from audio mastering, to package design, to worldwide distribution and help with logistics, wholesale, promotion and marketing. We always go in for quality and only work with leading partners in the industry to ensure our vinyl releases sound and look amazing. Our products will be produced in Germany and ship from our warehouse in Cologne to fans, distributors and retail stores worldwide. We also run one of the biggest online stores for game soundtracks on vinyl and currently have over 700 different titles from various labels and distro partners listed on our website. In October 2021, Black Screen Records also opened a retail store and pop-up space for games, music and pop-culture in Cologne called POPSUB. Furthermore, we publish and deliver video game soundtracks of all genres digitally to over 450 digital download and streaming platforms including Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Deezer, Tidal as well as hundreds of specialized and regional stores such as KKBOX or LINE MUSIC with the option to release "Apple Digital Master" and "hi-res lossless music" formats to the audiophile audience. We are in regular contact with worldwide editors at the key DSPs - especially Spotify & Apple - where we can place releases in their algorithms and genre specific playlists to reach targeted audiences.
