Blackwell Grp is continuing the legacy of Blackwell Engineering, and has been affiliated with such monumental structures as the Eternal flame at Kennedy’s grave, the Vietnam Memorial, the World War II Memorial, the Capital building, various airport expansions–such as Dulles and Reagan International, as well as numerous less recognizable structures. The engineers who comprise Blackwell Grp are recognized as having numerous patents in the field of structural, geotechnical and civil engineering. Notably, Blackwell Grp is the first Virginia-based engineering firm to achieve FAA certificate of authorization for usage of drones for topography mapping of natural resources and real-time construction activities.
