Blobina Animations

Blobina Animations is the portfolio of Selina Wagner. After years of battling with the wind in the Orkney Islands, Selina Wagner moved to study animation at the Edinburgh College of Art. Her degree film, Takuskanskan, won several awards including the Craft Award at the British Animation Awards in 2004. Her filmography includes Beachcomber, Crow moon and Spindrift, which have all been funded by organisations such as Channel 4, the British Film Council and the Scottish Film Talent Network. Each of her films were in official selections at over 40 international film festivals and Spindrift was nominated for a Scottish BAFTA in 2017. Selina set up Blobina Animations in 2005 and it's now one of the longest established 2D animation studios in Scotland, creating films, explainer videos, commercials, music videos and broadcast content for clients such as CBeebies, CBBC, the National Trust for Scotland and the NHS. Selina is currently writing and developing her first feature film with the support of Screen Scotland.
