Today, we are a small but vibrant team focused on empowering individuals and businesses. Our technology journey started 15 years ago in Web 2.0. We have been blessed to work with some of the nations largest corporations throughout our time in the industry. We have seen the technology landscape evolve from dedicated hardware, to personal computers, virtualization, cloud, and most recently artificial intelligence. Though, in the background, over the past 15 years blockchain has been steadily evolving & growing. Beginning in 2017, in our personal time we started keeping tabs on it. Each year, learning more and more. It could never be shaken off as a fad. This once concept but now reality of decentralization is incredibly fascinating. More and more, as we went down the rabbit hole it was becoming clear; decentralization is a game-changer and an innovation that will transform industries, organizations, & even governments. As noted above, web3 is noisy and in corners of the ecosystem it still has aspects of the wild west. New blockchains or projects can pop up and down in a night, week, or months. If you haven't spent some time in the ecosystem it can be hard to see through the noise. Furthermore, if you haven' seen technology evolve it can be hard to decipher who's "cosplaying" as innovation sometimes knowingly or unknowingly. In some cases, it can also be a lukewarm version of innovation. So, as we peered through our lens of experiences & understanding of blockchain we saw that people, organizations, businesses, & governments are going to need someone. Someone they can trust. Someone that understands how businesses work. Someone that can look at their goals and align it to capabilities within this innovation. As our founder has said, "success is a natural byproduct of doing what is right and good. Take care of people and everything else will fall into place." After much contemplating, the decision was made to take a leap of faith & create Block9 in July of 2024.
