The mission of the BEC is to protect investors; and assist in maintaining fair, orderly, and efficient markets within the Blockchain Digital Asset Space. The BEC strives to promote a market environment with Decentralized Governance and reliance on distributed ledgers rather than internal ledgers that can exploit the public's trust. The Blockchain Exchange Commission, or BEC, is dedicated to investor protection and market integrity. Our goal is to create a self regulatory environment, one where regulatory compliance such as KYC/AML requirements are embedded into Token Economics— This will add friction to each ecosystem but in return it will regulate Exchanges, Blockchain Start-Ups & ICO firms doing business with the public in the United States and aboard. We carry out our mission by underwriting Smart Contracts for bugs as well as writing code and developing security measures for Digital Assets industry. Every day, we work to: • write smart contracts that enforce rules governing peer to peer OTC transactions; • examine firms and Smart Contracts for compliance with those rules; • foster market transparency through promoting a open source environment; and • inform the investing public. With many dedicated individuals working in communities all across the globe, we are advocates for investors in this new market still very much in it's infancy.
