BlockX is a private digital asset investment fund based out of Auckland, New Zealand and founded in 2016. During the dotcom boom, investment in the emerging revolutionary technology of the internet was limited to larger, professional investors. In the blockchain revolution, a (somewhat more technically inclined) common person has been able to access high-grade international investments into an emerging technology. We aim to continue this legacy of democratising finance by providing a range of easy to access and fairly priced services and investment products to the New Zealand market while complying with regulations. 2018 marks a year where we aim to transition from a private fund into an FSP providing a range of digital asset related services to retail and wholesale investors. The eventual goal for BlockX is to tokenise real-world assets and offer them as investments via blockchain technology. This serves 2 purposes: 1. provide non-speculative, asset-backed tokens as a portfolio diversification tool to the $700b cryptocurrency market. 2. Provide everyday people with access to new types of investments, such as fractional ownership in property, fine art and private equity.
