The Blood Pressure Project (BPP) is a UC Berkeley student organization founded in Fall 2013. We are an organization committed to bringing blood pressure awareness and education to Berkeley’s underserved communities in order to improve and create a healthy, sustainable society. We are partnered with Heart 2 Heart, a collaboration between the City of Berkeley’s Public Health Department and Lifelong Medical Care (See “Our Partners”).
Our objective is to engage in the following:
- Provide underserved communities regular and consistent blood pressure screenings
- Promote cardiovascular health education
- Increase community involvement in healthy habits
- Connect community members to primary healthcare providers
- Provide mentorship and clinical volunteering opportunities to our club members
