Blue Harvest Technologies (BHT) is a company with parents from both Aqauculture and Engineering. The company is a 50/50 venture between Lofoten Blue Harvest and Smart Seaweed Solutions, and was created to develop technology that would make the seaweed industry actually output industrial amounts of seaweed. Blue Harvest Technologies has developed a prototype for a seaweed farm, called Loop Farm®, that can produce large amounts of seaweed in a small footprint, be harvested in a short amount of time and is also scalable. It represents a whole new approach to these challenges. Our advanced automated aquaculture system offers unparalleled efficiency and scalability. The Loop Farm® provides a permanent, high-yield solution, while DRISHAC ensures precise harvesting, seeding, and cleaning. Blue Harvest Technologies is also a partner with Bellona in "Senter for Marin Restaurering" (Center for Marine Restauration), established in Kabelvåg, Lofoten Islands, Norway, September 2024. The center is established to address one of Europe´s largest ecological crises and act as a "forward base" to develop and scale promising solutions that can restore kelp forests in Northern Norway.
