Growing up in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in Alabama, my memories were made at family backyard cookouts. Even now, I can still taste the sweet, smoky flavor of my Grandma’s tangy red BBQ sauce. My Grandma would always tell me that it was her favorite, and soon it would become my favorite too! In 2004, my Grandma and I discussed the idea of bottling and selling her sauce. In 2005, my Grandma lost a long battle with cancer. She is remembered by all those that she touched and loved. In September 2009, I created Blue Sky Bar-B-Que, LLC to begin marketing and selling my Grandma’s barbecue sauce. This is the short version behind the story of Blue Sky Bar-B-Que.
