Blue Supply Chains

The Blue Supply Chains project strives to support port authorities and operators in implementing long-term steps towards decarbonisation. The project is funded by the Interreg Baltic Sea Region Programme and follows a three-pillar approach to include various port-relevant aspects. This encompasses answers to the questions of how the process of greening port operations can be supported (e.g. via electrification of handling equipment), how alternative fuels can be expanded (bunkering and loading strategy) and how environmentally friendly transport chains can be maintained and better connected (via combined transport). The project will run from January 2023 to December 2025 under the leadership of Hafen Hamburg Marketing.
