BlueCommons is a mission-driven “blue bank” tackling water challenges across the Colorado River Basin. We partner with Tribes, rural communities, and local organizations to design and finance water conservation and restoration projects that traditional funding can’t reach. Our flexible, revolving funds provide tailored support from early planning to implementation and beyond—bridging grant and federal funding gaps, building local capacity, and recycling capital to maximize impact. With expertise in law, science, finance, and policy, we help partners turn good ideas into measurable results: saved water, restored ecosystems, and stronger communities. From upgrading cooling systems in the city of Phoenix to restoring habitat in the Colorado River Delta in Mexico, our projects deliver lasting environmental and economic benefits—again and again.
