BlueGrowth Initiative,is a marine challenge/startup competition that promotes business innovative ideas relating to the local sea and aquatic resources through a range of environmental, economic and social responsibility initiatives. As the only marine startup competition in blue economy in Greece, BlueGrowth Initiative establishes Piraeus the capital of marine innovation and creates a "think tank" for innovative initiatives with international appeal. BlueGrowth’s objective is to grow startups in the sectors of Information & Communication Technologies, Maritime Transport, Sustainable Marine Tourism & yachting, Energy & Environment/ Green Shipping, Innovation in the Marine Primary Sector – Aquaculture, to the next level. In our 6-month program, startups are challenged and supported on topics such as business model planning, finance, marketing, branding actions and pitching. Our main goal is to offer an added value of providing access to the growing network.
