The B.L.U.E. House

The B.L.U.E. House is a Survivor Led non-profit organization in Minneapolis, serving adult survivors of commercial sexual exploitation, as well as those within the community who are more vulnerable to exploitation. We support Survivors within the 7 County Metro area of Minnesota. We have recently gained non-profit status in the state of Minnesota and are currently pursuing our 501c3 tax exempt status with the federal government. The foundation of our programming will be an economic empowerment program that allows Survivors to gain education and hands on training in a craft or trade of their choosing. We plan to offer financial and professional assistance to help Survivors register for their own LLC, with a goal that they are able to legally provide for themselves financially upon completion of the program. We will also offer a drop-in center, as well as programming and services in the areas of mental health, chemical health, life skills, and parenting supports. We are currently offering services in the form of prevention curriculum for 13-18 year olds within the community, as well as providing training related to commercial sexual exploitation to local businesses and organizations. Additionally, we offer a support group for marginalized genders in St. Paul, Minnesota that occurs biweekly and provides emotional and life skills support to Survivors, and those who are at a higher level of risk for exploitation.
