Blün is Vienna's first large scale Aquaponic Farm. With a production size of 5 hectares, Blün is able to bring 2,000t/y fresh Mini-Sanmanzano to the Viennese Market. Additionally, we are providing fresh, high quality farmed fish and are currently expanding into different leafy fresh greens. Aquaponics is a integrated, close loop technology which allows the manure of the fish to fertilise the plants in the hydroponic system. We require 90% less water, 40% energy than any agriculture business on the same production size. Since we no longer rely on fertilisers, pesticides or any form of chemicals, we are currently redefining the "Bio" and "Organic" seal quality standards. We are a transparent, local and highly engaged young team, that wants to change how our current agriculture system is destroying large parts in the world.
