BME MSc in Biomedical Engineering

Crete is known as: - The 4th best touristic destination worldwide, -The place where a unique civilization, the Minoan civilization, flourished between 3000 and 1100 BCE, known as the first advanced civilization in Europe. Crete is also known for her vibrant academic research and innovation ecosystem comprising: Highly ranked Universities with science, medicine, engineering and humanities departments, one of the largest research centers in Europe, with a reputation as a top-level research institution worldwide, large, well-staffed and equipped medical centers, science and technology parks and incubators hosting hi tech spinoff companies with international businesses. Our Biomedical Engineering MSc program has been jointly founded by the School of Medicine, the Department of Computer Science, the Department of Material Science and Technology of the University of Crete, the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Technical University if Crete and the Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas (FORTH). The program’s foundation is based on strategic decisions to build excellence in research and education onto the solid grounds of carefully designed interdisciplinary transactions.
