We are BMW motorcycle owners and enthusiasts of all ages who enjoy riding, touring, camping, and having a good time with fellow BMW motorcycle riders. Whether you're a "seasoned" rider, the proud new owner of your very first BMW motorcycle, new to Northern California, or just ready for the best club experience, the BMW Motorcycle Club of Northern California is the BMW Club for you. And while riders of all makes of bikes are welcome at our events, only BMW owners are eligible for Club Membership! Club History The BMW Motorcycle Club of Northern California was founded in 1965, holds Charter Number 9 from the BMW Motorcycle Owners of America (BMW MOA), Charter Number 10 from the BMW Riders Association (BMW RA), and Charter Number 06083 from the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA). We have always been a riding club, starting in the 60's and riding with a Harley Davidson group every weekend, then focussing more on BMWs only. In 1971 we started the 49er Rally and in 1972 the BMW MOA launched their first rally, at our 49er rally. In 1991 we hosted the first Range of Light Gypsy Tour. The Club currently has 600 (+/-) members, some are novices, some are highly experienced, and most are somewhere in-between. We ride everything from vintage Airheads, to K bikes, sidecar rigs, R1200 GSAs, the mighty F650GS, and everything in between. Some enjoy sport touring, some travel with everything but the kitchen sink, some seek out dirt roads, and some consider a budget hotel roughing it.
