The cooperative was founded in 1932 with a clear objective – to group wine production of different vine-growers who had their proper cellars until that moment. Other vine-growers were joining on the cooperative very soon and family wineries started to disappear. Since 80 years, LA BODEGA DE PINOSO winery selects and processes the fruit of the best vines in order to create great wines. Our commitment to quality, innovation is acknowledged and rewarded with many international prizes and the confidence of thousands of our customers in different countries (USA, Canada, Japan, The Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, Belgium, China…). We are a young team, which joins together technical and trade experts, bound on leaving behind a past of wine-in-bulk production. WINERY The equipment of the winery occupy a plot of 40.000 m2, of which 8.000 are constructions that house machinery of production, stainless steel tanks with temperature control (18 with capacity of 60 000 kg, 11 of 100 00 kg) a bottling machine (1000 bot./hour) and a cellar with French and American oak casks (90). We also have an experimental winery with tanks of 2000 L where we can investigate possibilities of making new wines and permanent improvement of the quality. We offer the unique combination of thousands of years of tradition and experience with modern technology. The results speak for themselves....fabulous values. VINEYARDS La Bodega de Pinoso can be considered as one of the most important wineries of the Denomination of Origin Alicante. We own about 1.800 ha of vineyards at the average age of 25 years, some vines are 50. We produce approximately 6.000.000 litres per year. About 55% of this production comes from organic farming. Comprising 70 % of our vineyards, Monastrell, an indigenous variety defines character of majority of our wines, complemented by other excellent varieties such as Tempranillo, Syrah, Cabernet Savignon, Merlot, Garnacha Tintorera, Macabe, Airén and Sauvignon Blanc.
