Bodenxt

Bodenxt is the Municipality of Boden’s platform to coordinate, showcase and drive the major green societal transformation currently taking place in our part of the world. Boden is located at the heart of one of Europe’s most rapidly expanding regions. We are in the midst of a transformation unlike anything seen in modern Swedish history – a green industrial revolution, where approximately SEK 1,400 billion will be invested in northern Sweden over the coming decade. In Boden, this means a leap in development equivalent to 20 years of progress in just a few. To manage the pace of change, harness its opportunities, and at the same time shape a sustainable society for generations to come, the Municipality of Boden has launched Bodenxt. This platform gathers and communicates the work being done – in collaboration with businesses, education providers, civil society and citizens – to future-proof Boden as a place to live, work and grow. Bodenxt is built around five interconnected focus areas: • Skills supply – ensuring the right education, matching and upskilling. • Housing and lifestyle – developing attractive and sustainable living environments. • Business development – creating the right conditions for both new and established enterprises. • Above-ground infrastructure – including power grids, roads and public transport. • Underground infrastructure – such as water and sewage systems, digital infrastructure and other core utilities. We believe in the power of local, resource-smart and circular solutions. Bodenxt highlights concrete initiatives and real-time collaboration – where the transformation is already happening.
