Heart Failure is a life threatening chronic condition in the older population in which management of fluid retention is critical to relieve symptoms and prolong life.
BodiGuide has developed a simple and practical method to continuously monitor fluid retention by tracking ankle swelling with a proprietary anklet which measures ankle size. The anklet works with a mobile application to provide valuable feedback to the patient and their caregivers. Our application uses statistical process control to establish a personalized baseline for each patient and alert the patient to deviations that require their attention. The anklet is water resistant and operates for a year on a coin cell battery allowing the patient to continuously and effortlessly monitor their fluid loading status and respond in a timely manner.
