BOLD Transmission was formed to market and refine BOLD, an innovative line design featuring a compact conductor configuration suspended under a crescent-shaped crossarm, arrayed on a low-profile tubular steel structure. The technology behind BOLD goes far beyond good looks, boosting both capacity and efficiency while eliminating the need for series capacitors. BOLD lines achieve higher capacity, less impedance and line loss, and improved reliability in a compact form factor. Using an arched crossarm and lower overall height compared to a traditional extra-high voltage line, help BOLD to fit more aesthetically with the environment.
