About Bentley Open Market Committee
The Bentley Open Market Committee (BOMC) is Bentley’s only economics-devoted organization on campus. The group meets every other Tuesday at 2 pm to collectively discuss and debate various economic topics in both Micro and Macroeconomics. The group's goal is to promote and increase economic knowledge and excellence among the Bentley population. The group’s abbreviation was inspired by the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) that is responsible for setting and maintaining monetary policy in the United States. The group was founded in December of 2018 by Chris Compton (current President), Jack Rischitelli (current Vice President), and Mark Maney (class of December 2018).
