Bonutti Technologies was founded in 1990 by Dr. Peter Bonutti, an orthopedic reconstructive surgeon. The facility is 37,000 square foot and houses a machine shop, production floor, customer service offices, a mechanical lab and an electronics lab. Bonutti Technologies is an incubator for new ideas in surgical instrumentation, implants, procedures, and rehabilitation. The team consists of Mechanical, Electrical and Biomedical Engineers, Regulatory and Quality Affairs, IP Counsel, and Business Development personnel. The multi-disciplined team works together to develop prototypes, perform mechanical and electrical testing, and manufacture medical devices. Bonutti Technologies has a FDA Establishment Registration, several FDA Premarket 510(k)s, and a Quality System that follows good manufacturing practices. Bonutti Technologies has 338 Issued Patents, 144 US Applications, 70 PCT and Foreign Applications and 284 Licensed Patents and Applications (additional 455 cross licenses).
