While we made significant progress in this space, data and insights led us to uncover a deeper problem—Filipino authors struggle to get their work into the hands of the right readers. The challenge isn't just affordability or discovery; it's the lack of visibility, distribution channels, and support for local authors to thrive. Many talented writers face limited reach, unsustainable earnings, and an industry that doesn’t provide enough opportunities for them to succeed. This led to REKO, a Spotify-like platform for books that bridges the gap between Filipino authors and readers through digital distribution and AI-powered recommendations.
