Since 1995, I've introduced numerous, useful innovations to ophthalmologists and optometrists so that they in turn can offer meaningful improvements to their patients. Experienced in leading internal and external scientific, legal, regulatory, marketing and commercial teams to develop and commercialise innovative and disruptive medical devices, OTC, prescription only and nano-technology products. I have strong, long-term relationships with research institutions, KOL's, scientists, manufacturers, worldwide distribution partners, media, senior industry figures and marketing experts. I’ve successfully commercialised multiple innovative technologies and helped to create a number of world leading markets for a selection of international manufacturers across the ophthalmic speciality. This has provided me with extensive experience involving refractive, surgical, pharmaceutical and diagnostic products for both the anterior and posterior segments and across all the sub-specialities. Recent achievements include creating award winning intraocular lens technologies for AMD and identifying and managing the application process so that a health food supplement I formulated became the first product to have been approved by the NHS for AMD in the UK. In my spare time I enjoy laughing with my young family, skiing, travel and training for/participating in triathlons up to full Ironman distance.
