Bordas+Peiro architecte+ingenieur was founded in 2011 by Anna Maria Bordas and Miquel Peiro. Projects produced by the company rang from purely architecture projects, to architecture + engineering projects or even solely engineering projects. Using their double culture, they claim to be both “a real architect” and “a real engineer” and not only a mix of both. Their production is sincere, serene, and finds often its roots in the context and their specific way of looking at existing conditions. The project is not just an independent plot, but participates into the creation of the city and is placed into context to last. Their analytical capacity is key to introducing a particular way of looking at existing conditions. Why are neglected, abandoned spaces so? What is the essence that needs to be kept? In a morose economical context and society lost within consumerism and in seek of environmentally sustainable solutions, pertinence is most important. The premise is that with minimal intervention, maximum effect can be achieved. As far as technical structure works, their approach is based on extensive experience in the field of complex structures. The company seeks to continue the innovative research and continuous development of our expertise to participate in projects demanding a highly technical approach.
