The existent ambiguity in borrowing and lending transactions (both online and offline) creates a space for information asymmetry. At Borrow, believe we can build a community of sovereignty, transparency, and trust between borrowers and lenders by capitalizing on the social aspect of these experiences.. We use communication, soft and hard information, and a user generated rating system as a way of breaking down this information asymmetry in transactions. Unlike other lending platforms, Borrow doesn't dictate users' creditworthiness or decide classes of interest rates. We leave everything up for the users to decide. We allow the people to take sovereignty over their own financial circumstances by providing a new way to access funds, without having to go through an intermediary. In turn, we hope this inspires others to lend it forward.
