Bosch Thin Metal Technologies, a tradename of Bosch Transmission Technology B.V., is a specialist in high-tech thin metal components for (electro) mobility and hydrogen technology. The company has its foundations in the development and manufacturing of the metal pushbelt for continuously variable transmissions for passenger vehicles. The pushbelt has been a great success for the past decades: Bosch has produced more than 100 million for customers all over the world (March 2024). With its unique competencies, material expertise, and experience in engineering and mass production gained with the pushbelt, Bosch expanded its product portfolio with new high-tech thin metal components such as E-stacks for electric motors and air foil bearings. Additionally, the company was assigned as the Research & Development center of electrolyzer technology within Bosch due to its experience in the development of electrolyzer stacks and bipolar plates for fuel cells and electrolyzers. The company is part of the Mobility Solutions business sector of the Bosch Group.
