Simon has extensive experience in chemical and process engineering in a career spanning over 30 years. He works in the process industries, mostly in oil and gas with experience on projects from exploration through to commissioning and operation. He has strong experience and expertise in engineering and design of offshore and onshore projects globally. He has worked throughout the world on many high-profile projects and he continues to provide expert advice and technical assessments for oil and gas development/ investment strategy, reliability, process engineering, as well as oil and gas field developments. He is a lateral thinker, innovator and natural leader. He has strong forensic thought processes that enable him to reach conclusions in complex situations. He has worked on several major oil and gas development projects including design, operation, maintenance and reliability of facilities and pipelines. He writes technical expert reports where he applies his developed skills in technical investigation to focus on root cause analysis of events on several disputes including offshore and onshore riser and pipeline corrosion; design and construction of offshore platform modifications; onshore fuel storage tanks and LNG construction projects.
