Boston Rising

Boston Rising is committed to ending the cycle of poverty in Boston by enabling people to chart their own rising paths. We work in partnership with the Family Independence Initiative to scale its resident choice model to help families get out of poverty in Boston’s Grove Hall neighborhood. We believe that this exciting undertaking will yield results that will set the stage for dramatic growth for other neighborhoods in Boston and similar efforts in other cities, making a real impact on intergenerational poverty throughout our country in the years to come. We believe that we can make the biggest long term difference by sharply focusing on social connections and resident-driven change.
