We are the Boston Firefighters Local 718, International Association of Fire Fighters, AFL-CIO. Local 718 has been fighting for Firefighters and their families since 1942. Our mission is to advance the moral, economic, and social standing of the membership of this organization, in keeping with the dignity of its heroic calling.We represent all members of the Uniformed Firefighting Force including members appointed as permanent Firefighters on Probation; all permanent members of the Fire Alarm Division; dues paying retirees of the Firefighting Force or Fire Alarm Division; and all members who hold Life Membership.
